Mattresses are bulky, awkward and not welcome in many regular trash services. They are also surprisingly recyclable: the steel springs, foam and fabric can all be separated and reused. We pick up mattresses and box springs of every size and send them where they can be taken apart.
Our crews carry mattresses out of bedrooms, down stairs and out of apartments without dragging them across carpet or scraping walls. Mattresses are bagged to keep them clean in the truck, and bed frames can come along in the same visit.
Many haulers and transfer sites limit or refuse mattresses. A mattress recycler disassembles them into steel, foam and fibers, which keeps bulky material out of the landfill.
Tell us before we arrive. Infested mattresses are sealed in plastic before they move, so the problem does not travel through your house or into the truck.
We take metal and wooden frames, slats, headboards and foundations in the same trip. Metal frames go to scrap recyclers.
At a recycler, the mattress is cut open, the steel springs are pulled for scrap, the foam is shredded for carpet padding and the fabrics and wood are separated. It is a real recycling stream, which is why we prefer it to the landfill.
