Deck and Fence Demolition

Rotted decks, leaning fences and old pergolas taken down and hauled away, with posts and concrete handled.

An old deck or fence is more than an eyesore. Rotten boards, loose rails and rusted fasteners are a safety hazard, and demolishing them is hard, dirty work. We take structures apart safely and haul every piece away.

We demolish and remove wood and composite decks, fences, pergolas, gazebos and arbors. Posts are pulled and, where needed, set concrete is broken out. Wood, metal and composite are sorted so recyclable material is diverted where facilities exist.

Taking it down safely

Decks are taken apart from the top down, boards first, then joists and posts. We check for hidden nails, rot and wasps, and we protect the house siding and nearby plants.

Posts and footings

Fence posts and deck posts are often set in concrete. We pull them or break the footing out and fill the holes so the yard is safe.

Treated wood

Older pressure-treated lumber can contain chemicals that should not be burned. It goes to the proper disposal site, and we explain what is allowed.

Know before you dig

Call before digging to have underground utilities marked. We follow the markings and work carefully around them when removing posts and footings. If the project includes a new fence or deck, send us the dates and we can have the old materials gone the day before the builders arrive, so the new work starts on a clear, level site.
