Washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers and microwaves disconnected where safe, carried out and recycled instead of dumped.
An old washer or stove weighs far more than it looks, and the dump will not always take it as is. We pick up household appliances, carry them out safely and send them to metal and appliance recyclers so the steel, copper and aluminum are reused.
We handle washers, dryers, stoves, ranges, dishwashers, microwaves, window air conditioners, dehumidifiers and small appliances. Some appliances, like refrigerators and freezers or units that contain refrigerant, need special handling, and we cover that on its own page.
We can disconnect many appliances ourselves, such as a dryer cord or a washer hose. Gas lines and hardwired connections should be shut off and capped by a qualified tradesperson first, and we tell you how to prepare.
Appliances are mostly steel with copper wiring and aluminum parts, all of it recyclable. Routing them to scrap and appliance recyclers keeps them out of landfills and out of curbside bins.
If a new appliance is arriving, we can time the haul-away to match the delivery and clear a path. Old units are out before the new ones arrive, so nothing gets stacked in the hallway.
Pull out the unit if you can, or leave it where it sits. Clear a path to the door, move small items off the top and let us know about stairs, tight turns and steps up to a porch or garage.
