Donation Pickup

Good furniture, housewares and clothing sorted out, picked up and delivered to donation partners so they can help someone else.

Most of what leaves a home is not trash. A solid dresser, a set of dishes, a winter coat or a bike can all make life easier for someone else. The problem is that drop-off is a chore, and not everything is accepted. We take that chore off your list.

We sort what is worth donating, pick it up with the rest of your job and deliver it to partners who accept it. When an item cannot be donated, we tell you why and send it to recycling or disposal instead.

What is usually accepted

Clean, working and usable furniture, housewares, tools, bikes, clothing and linens are good candidates. Partners are often selective about condition, so we check before we load.

What is usually declined

Stained or broken furniture, mattresses, old cribs, car seats and items with recalls cannot go to most donation partners. We explain the alternatives.

Tax receipts

Ask the partner for a receipt at drop-off if you want one. We can note what was delivered and when. Check with your tax adviser for how to use it.

Making donations smoother

Clean items and place them together before pickup. Include a short list. If you need a receipt, tell us before we load so we can note the partner and the date.

Questions

Donation Pickup FAQ

Do you donate everything?

Only what partners will accept. The rest is recycled or disposed of properly.

Can I choose where it goes?

Tell us a preference and we will see if it fits the job. Partners have their own rules and schedules.

Can I get a receipt?

Ask the partner at drop-off. We note what was delivered so you have a record.

Do you donate mattresses?

Usually not, because most partners cannot accept them. We route mattresses to recycling.

Can you donate books and clothing?

Yes. Clean clothing, books and housewares are widely accepted.
